Bamboo carvings handed down from ancient folks have taken root in their attachments. To wash them off, proper amount of soap water must be added. This hurts the old pulp. The old pulp of jujube red is not only the witness of historical years, but also has a good handle and aesthetic feeling. Walnut oil on the washed bamboo carvings is still dry and astringent. But after cleaning, the penholder with walnut oil is not easy to grow insects. Whether washing is necessary depends on the specific carving. For those that must be cleaned, do not damage the bamboo skin as much as possible. Use special protective oil for frying raw walnuts with shells instead of fried walnuts. The shell walnut has little oil deposit and contains certain moisture, which is not dry, so it does not damage the object.
-fried walnut kernels are very dry, and bamboo carvings are easy to crack after they are dried. Because most of the masters of old bamboo carvings have been maintained in past dynasties, so when oiling, they only need to touch a little with their index finger lightly, with oil on the skin of their fingertips as a degree, wipe the oil on the other palm, rub both hands evenly, and play with the carvings in both hands, so as to achieve the purpose of maintenance. There is not much oil, and it is easy to regain moisture.
In addition, do not use a variety of tools to scrape bamboo carving attachments, which has an impact on the original appearance and appearance of the carving. Do not apply any paint or chemical colors. Although the professional books are painted, their pros and cons should be considered. Old sculptures themselves have many years of deposited maintenance oil and sweat, it is difficult to dry after painting, although it can ensure that the sculptures do not crack, but this will not form the aesthetic feeling of bamboo from natural color change.
Conditional collectors may keep the collection sealed in a glass cover. If there is no constant temperature measure, in order to avoid the cracking of the carving caused by the high temperature produced by glass, a paper block can be thrown into the carving at ordinary times, which has the function of regulating the dry and humidity. You can also put one or two wooden handle bristle brushes, hair up, it can emit heat in the carving. The wooden handle can absorb moisture and dissipate heat. It must be taken out even in cloudy and rainy days. On the other hand, due to long-term sealing, once exposed to air or wind, it is easy to cause cracking. This method can ensure constant temperature and play regularly.
It is better to make special wooden inner lattice cabinet for storage. When the temperature of the special storage cabinet is between 20 and 35 C and the relative humidity is between 35% and 40%, the lower part of the cabinet will be filled with porcelain or other articles, and the bamboo carvings will be placed one meter off the ground. If the temperature is too high, you can put a bowl of water in the room, or put a few books in the cabinet. If the collector lives upstairs, half a cup of water can be put on the lattice in summer when it is too dry, but the sculpture and the cup should be kept at a certain distance, checked regularly, and taken out in time when it is not necessary. Old newspapers can also be used, but the newspapers have a strong regenerative force and should not be more. And we should often play and check, especially in the season when the rainfall is concentrated every year, find long hair, and remove it with a bristle brush in time.
